Flowering Period

A compact hardy perennial that is ideal for the front of sunny borders, rockeries and patio pots. Osteospermum 'Sennen Sunrise' produces luscious evergreen foliage which becomes smothered in colourful daisy flowers from June to October. Light pink petals with deeper pink veins surround a dark purple centre, illuminated by a ring of golden pollen. Simple to grow and fuss free, this African Daisy will love well-drained soil in a sheltered spot where it will cope well in drought, heat and light frosts. Osteospermum 'Sennen Sunrise' is a compact, uniform variety that will fill your garden with colour for months! Height: 25cm (10in). Spread: 30cm (12in). Culinary note: The bright coloured flowers can be used as a garnish or in ice cubes to add an extra dimension to summer drinks.

Growing Information

Pot up hardy osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.

While the majority of our nursery plants cope well with slight delays in intransit, sadly, the time it takes to deliver to certain locations in the UK means that we can't guarantee this for some of our smaller plug products and tender bedding and vegetable lines, which do not respond well to the extra journey time. So regretfully while we offer the majority of our live plant offering nationwide, we are unable to ship plugs, begging plants and tender vegetable plants to the following areas: HS, IV41-IV49, IV51, IV55-56, KW15-KW17, PA34, PA41-48, PA60-PA78, PA80, PH40-PH44, TR21-TR24, ZE1-ZE3.

Unfortunately like many companies in our industry we are currently only able to supply orders to UK based customers, excluding those in Northern Ireland.
