Homegrown carrots don’t need to be orange and we have some great varieties that are ideal for sowing in July. It’s not too late to sow vegetable seeds in July. You can still get a summer crop if you sow turnips, pak choi, lettuce, spinach, and radish seeds.
July is also a good time to sow vegetable seeds for winter crops. Spinach ‘Perpetual’ and ‘Rubino’, parsley, Radish mooli, Kale ‘Fizz’ and Cabbage ‘Sweetie’ are all good choices.
